About Lapis Domiciliary Care
Lapis Domiciliary Care provides support at home to people in Southampton and the surrounding area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults. Our visits are planned around the person's own day rather than around a standard package. For some people that means a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication. For others it is support at several points, with meals, mobility, the laundry and the house, or help to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. For adults with a learning disability and for autistic adults, the work is often about making independent living practical rather than about personal care. We visit before support begins, agree the plan with the person and anyone they want involved, write it plainly and review it as needs change. We say honestly when more support is needed than we can safely provide at home. Sending the same carers to the same households is something we work at, because familiar carers notice the small changes and can raise them early. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
