About Grove Place Retirement Village
Grove Place Retirement Village in Southampton provides care and support to people living in their own homes within the village and the surrounding area. We work with older people, including people with physical disabilities and people who have a visual or hearing impairment. The point of a retirement village is that support can grow without anybody having to move again, and that is how we try to work. Somebody may start with very little help and need considerably more several years later, and the aim is that this happens gradually, in the same home, among the same neighbours, without the upheaval of another move at the point when upheaval is least welcome. Our staff help with personal care, medication, meals and the practical parts of the day, and we plan each arrangement with the person and whoever they want involved. We would always rather help someone regain independence after an illness than build a package they do not need and cannot easily reduce. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are happy to talk through what support might look like now and what it could look like later.
