About Amali Care
Amali Care is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Southampton and the surrounding parts of Hampshire. We work with older people who want to carry on living independently, and with younger adults who need practical support at home. Home care succeeds or fails on the details, so that is where we start. Before any visits begin we sit down with the person, and their family if they would like that, and agree what help is genuinely wanted, at what times and in what way. Some people need a short call in the morning to get the day going safely. Others want support several times a day covering personal care, medication, meals, shopping, appointments or simply company. We write the plan in plain language and we change it when circumstances change. We keep the team around each person small, because a familiar face at a predictable hour is worth a great deal, and because carers who know someone notice when things are different. Our staff are trained for the needs they will meet and are properly supervised, and there is always someone a family can ring. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather state that openly and answer your questions about how we recruit, train and check our own work. Please contact us for a conversation with no obligation.
