About Consider Care
We are a home care agency based in Fleet, supporting people in their own homes across Hampshire. We work with older people and with younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Most people who approach us are trying to avoid a move they do not want. Our part in that is practical: visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, assistance to move about safely and company for somebody who spends too much of the week alone. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we revisit the plan rather than leaving it as first agreed. For people living with dementia, a familiar carer who knows their habits and history does more good than any amount of written planning, so we try hard to send the same staff to the same homes. It also means somebody is likely to notice when a person is unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues when they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly with anyone considering us.
