About ASL
ASL provides care in people's own homes in Farnborough and the surrounding parts of Hampshire. We support older people and younger adults across a wide range of needs, including dementia, learning disability and autism, mental health conditions, physical disability, visual or hearing impairment, eating disorders, and the effects of alcohol or drug misuse. Given that range, we never begin with a standard package. We begin with a conversation about what is actually difficult, what a person wants to keep doing for themselves, and who else is part of their life. From there we agree a plan, write it in plain language, and make sure every carer who visits is working to it. Support might be personal care, medication and meals, or it might concern the shape of a week, covering appointments, routines, getting out of the house and managing a home that has become hard to keep on top of. We match carers to people with some thought, taking account of language, background, gender and personality, because in someone's own home the fit matters as much as the task list. We aim for small, consistent teams and for arriving when we said we would. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would be glad to talk through what support might look like.
