A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves again and again. For people living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written in a care plan. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues for advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly.
