About One Community
We are One Community, based in Eastleigh and providing care and support to people in their own homes across the area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and people with a physical disability. Being rooted locally shapes how we work. We know the area and the people in it, and a good deal of what we do is about keeping somebody connected to their own community rather than simply delivering care to them at home. For people who have become isolated, that side of the work often matters more than the practical tasks. Support ranges from a short morning call to several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and help getting out and about. Wherever somebody can still do something for themselves, we support them to carry on rather than taking it over. We keep the same workers going to the same households as far as we can, because familiarity is what makes personal care bearable and what lets somebody notice that a person is not themselves today. Our staff are trained for the work they actually do and properly supervised. We work closely with families, social workers, district nurses and GPs. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to discuss support.
