About Bluezone Care
Bluezone Care is a home care agency in Basingstoke, supporting people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding area. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Support ranges from half an hour in the morning to help somebody wash, dress and get going, through to several calls a day covering medication, meals, safe movement around the house, shopping and appointments. A lot of the value in regular visits lies in what gets noticed. Post building up, a fridge emptier than it should be, a friend no longer mentioned, somebody steady on Monday and unsteady by Thursday. Care workers who see the same people week after week pick up all of that, and we expect them to pass it on rather than finish the notes and move to the next call. Support is agreed with the person, written in plain language and revisited when circumstances change. We keep visiting teams small so the faces at the door are familiar ones.
