About Melody Care
Melody Care Alton supports people in their own homes in Alton and the surrounding parts of Hampshire. We take on a wide range of needs, from a short daily call to several visits a day and longer periods of support, and we agree the shape of it with the person rather than handing them a fixed service. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see friends. We also notice the quieter changes and raise them early with the family or the doctor rather than waiting to be asked. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting wherever the rota allows, work with the routine that already exists and avoid rearranging a home somebody knows by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is on independence and on communication that suits the person, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability does most of the good. For people with a physical disability we help with moving safely and managing at home. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments. Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we would rather turn work down than take on something we cannot do properly. Please ring us if you would like to talk about support at home here.
