About Step Up -Domiciliary Care
Step Up provides care at home for older people and younger adults living in Gloucester and the surrounding area. Our work is to make staying at home practical, whether that means a short visit each morning or regular support throughout the day. Our carers help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and the everyday tasks that become difficult before anything else does. For younger adults the emphasis is usually different, with support built around work, study and a social life and delivered in a way that backs somebody up without taking over their decisions. We agree with each person what they want help with and, just as importantly, what they would rather do themselves. Continuity is something we plan for. Familiar carers notice things a stranger would miss, and they spare people from explaining their own routine again and again. Reliability matters just as much, so we plan our rounds carefully and let people know if anything has to change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are looking into care at home in this area, please get in touch. We will visit, listen and give you an honest view of whether we are the right fit.
