About AH Care
We are AH Care, a home care team working across Cheltenham and the surrounding parts of Gloucestershire. Everything we do happens in the place people already know best, which is their own home, surrounded by their own furniture, their own routines and the neighbours they have known for years. The people we visit are varied. We support older people who need a hand with washing, dressing and medication, and we support younger adults who want practical help to stay independent. We work with people living with dementia, with people who have a learning disability and with autistic people, and with those managing mental health conditions or an eating disorder. We also visit people with physical disabilities and people who have lost some of their sight or hearing, adapting how we communicate so that nobody feels rushed or talked over. Our approach starts with listening. Before any care begins we sit down with the person and, where they want it, with their family, and we agree what good support looks like for them. That plan belongs to them and it changes when their needs change. We try hard to send the same familiar faces, because trust is built through consistency rather than paperwork. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding, which we are proud of and work hard to maintain. If you would like to talk about care for yourself or someone close to you, please get in touch.
