We are Severn Sunrise Homecare, based in Gloucester, and we provide care in people's own homes across Gloucestershire. Our work is with older people, including a great many living with dementia. We have kept our focus deliberately narrow. With dementia, familiarity does more good than any technique we could name, so continuity of staff is the thing we work at hardest. We also try to keep families closely involved, because relatives usually understand what a particular worry or habit is really about long before we would work it out.
