About Flexicare Stroud
We are Flexicare Stroud, and we provide care and support to people in their own homes across Gloucestershire. The flexibility in our name is the point: people's lives do not fit neatly into fixed slots, so we build the pattern of visits around what somebody actually needs and change it when their circumstances change. Much of our work is with older people who want to carry on living at home, so we help with getting up and dressed, bathing, medication, cooking a proper meal, the shopping and the laundry, and getting out to appointments or into town. We support people living with dementia, where the same familiar care workers arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer. We also support people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how each person prefers to be helped, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults who want support that steps back as they take on more themselves. Our care workers are recruited with full checks and references, trained before working alone and properly supervised. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding.
