About Moriel Healthcare
Moriel Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Cirencester and the surrounding parts of Gloucestershire. We visit at agreed times and help with the parts of the day that have become difficult, so that people can carry on living where they want to be. Much of our work is with older people, helping with washing and dressing, getting up and settling at night, medication, meals, shopping and housework, and getting out to appointments or into town. We support people living with dementia, where consistency of routine and of faces matters more than anything we could put in a brochure. We also work with people who have a physical disability, fitting around the equipment and habits that already suit them, with people who have lost some sight or hearing, and with younger adults who want practical help to live on their own terms. Rural Gloucestershire brings its own difficulties, and distance and isolation are real for a lot of the households we visit. We plan our rounds so that calls have proper time in them rather than being trimmed to fit the miles between them. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. In place of a rating, ask us how we recruit and train our carers, how they are supervised, what happens when a call runs late and who you can reach at the weekend. We will answer plainly.
