About Kerensa Support
Kerensa Support provides care in people's own homes in Truro and across Cornwall. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, people living with mental health conditions, adults with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, younger adults, and people affected by eating disorders. That is a wide range of need, and it works because we plan each package around the individual rather than fitting people into a standard visit. For one person we are there briefly in the morning to help with washing, dressing and medication. For another we are a steady presence through the day, supporting somebody to keep their own home, manage appointments and stay connected to the people around them. Working across Cornwall means travel and timing have to be taken seriously. A visit squeezed to fit a rota is not worth much, so we plan calls with enough time to do the job properly and to have a conversation while we are there. Continuity is what families ask about most. We keep the same small group of carers going to the same person, because care given by somebody who knows you is better care and because a familiar carer notices early when things are not right. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch and ask us anything you need to know.
