About Lanhydrock Care
Lanhydrock Care provides home care to people living in and around Bodmin. We support older people, including people with physical disabilities and people who have sight or hearing loss. Most people contact us for a straightforward reason. They intend to stay in their own home, and a handful of practical difficulties are getting in the way. So those are what we take on: help with washing and dressing, medicines taken as they should be, meals cooked and actually eaten, the housework and the shopping kept under control, and a reliable way of getting out to appointments and to see people. We arrange visits around the person's day rather than around ours, and we would rather agree a pattern we can genuinely keep than an ambitious one that falls apart in the first difficult week. Where somebody has a physical disability, we work out together how they want to be helped and how much time they actually need, which is often more than a schedule allows for. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss, we take the trouble to learn how they prefer to be approached and spoken with. We agree the support with the person and, where they want it, with their family, and we look at the plan again whenever circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Timekeeping and continuity are what keep it that way.
