About Stennack Homecare
Stennack Homecare provides home care to older people and younger adults living in and around Redruth, Cornwall. We keep our remit narrow on purpose, because it lets us do the work properly rather than spreading ourselves thin. What we offer is help with washing and dressing, with medication, with preparing meals and seeing that they are actually eaten, with shopping and laundry, with getting out to appointments, and with the practical business of keeping a household going. Cornwall brings its own practical difficulties. Distances are real and some of the homes we visit are not easy to get to, so we plan rotas carefully and would rather cover a smaller area properly than a wider one badly. For a number of the people we visit, particularly those living alone, the carer is the main person they see all day, and we treat that as part of the job rather than as an extra.
