About Apra Care
Apra Care provides support in people's own homes in Liskeard and the surrounding part of Cornwall. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Most people would rather stay in their own home, among their own things and their own neighbours, and with the right support a great many can. Our job is to make that practical rather than theoretical. Support might be a single morning call to help somebody wash, dress and start the day safely, or several visits covering personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping and a check before bed. Consistency is what we work hardest at. Care at home falls apart when the face at the door keeps changing, so we build small teams around each person and protect them. For people living with dementia that familiarity matters more than anything else we could offer, and we also take time to learn about a person's life because it helps us make sense of what we see. Where somebody has a sensory impairment we adapt how we communicate and leave the home exactly as they expect to find it. Where we support people with mental health needs we work in step with the community teams involved and aim to be the dependable part of the week. If you are considering care at home in this part of Cornwall, please get in touch and we will talk it over plainly.
