About Cherished Care Services
Cherished Care supports people in their own homes in Wilmslow and across this part of Cheshire. We work with older people, adults with a physical disability, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Nearly everyone who contacts us wants to carry on living where they are, and our job is to make that practical rather than to take anything over. Depending on what is needed, that could be one call each morning to help somebody wash, dress and get the day going, several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or longer periods of support where needs are more constant. Where somebody has a physical disability, we think properly about equipment, moving and handling, and how much help to offer, because being helped more than you want is its own kind of loss. Where sight or hearing is reduced, we adapt how we communicate and keep things where the person expects to find them.
