About Helping Hands
We provide care at home in Macclesfield and across this part of Cheshire East, visiting people in their own houses so they can stay where their memories, their neighbours and their routines already are. Depending on what is needed, that can mean a short daily call, a series of visits through the day, or longer periods of support. We help older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, and people with sight or hearing loss. The work itself is often unglamorous. Personal care, medication, a cooked meal, a load of washing, a lift to an appointment. Done properly and at the right time, it is what keeps somebody at home rather than somewhere else. We plan visits with the person and, where they want it, with their family. We put the same carers with the same people wherever the rota allows, because someone who knows you does not have to ask where the towels are kept and will notice the day you seem out of sorts. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated the service Good. If you are thinking about home care in Macclesfield, whether for now or for the months ahead, please get in touch. We will visit, talk it through and be honest about what we can and cannot do.
