About Amron Home Help
We are Amron Home Help, based in Macclesfield, and we provide care in people's own homes across this part of Cheshire. The people we visit are a wide group: older people, many living with dementia, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, people living with an eating disorder, and people dealing with problems with alcohol or drugs. Working across that range means no standard package would do, so we do not offer one. Support begins with a conversation about how life actually is now, what has become difficult, what somebody wants to keep doing for themselves, and what would genuinely help. The plan comes from that and gets revised as circumstances move. In a good deal of our work the most valuable thing we provide is steadiness. Turning up when we said we would. Noticing when something has shifted. Not treating a difficult week as a crisis, and not judging anybody for it. For people in recovery, and for those living with an eating disorder or with mental ill health, that reliability often counts for more than any particular task. Support may cover personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping, paperwork and getting out into the community. We have not yet had an overall rating published by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so ourselves, and we welcome close questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our staff.
