About Southern Comfort Homecare

Southern Comfort Homecare supports people in their own homes in and around Slough. Most people would far rather stay where they are, among their own things and their own routines, and our job is to make that workable. Our carers visit older people who need assistance with personal care, medication, meals or mobility, and we support people living with dementia, where familiar surroundings do so much of the work on their own. We also work with people living with a physical disability, people with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults who want support that helps them stay independent rather than support that takes over their decisions. Support is planned with the person, and we make a point of recording what somebody would rather do for themselves as clearly as what they need help with. Arrangements are reviewed as circumstances change. We try hard to send the same carers to the same households, because a carer who knows a person will notice a change early and the person is spared explaining themselves to somebody new. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we prefer to state that at the outset. If you are considering care at home in this area, get in touch and we will come out and talk it through with no obligation.
