About Ashridge Home Care
Ashridge Home Care supports people in their own homes in Amersham and across this part of Buckinghamshire. Our visits range from a short call to start the day through to several each day and longer stretches of support where more is needed, arranged around the household rather than around our rota. For older people we help with personal care, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out and about, and we keep an eye on the wider picture too, raising a poor appetite or new unsteadiness early rather than leaving a family to discover it. Where somebody is living with dementia we send the same care workers wherever possible, work with the routine the household already has and leave things where they belong. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the work is usually about independence and about communicating in the way that suits the person, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely at home. Where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always explain what we are doing. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life. Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we would rather turn work down than take on something we cannot do properly. Please ring us if you would like to talk about support at home in this area.
