About Appleby Care
Appleby Care is a home care agency based in High Wycombe, supporting people in their own homes across Buckinghamshire. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have a learning disability, with autistic people, with people who have mental health needs, with people who have physical disabilities, with people who have sight or hearing loss and with people recovering from problems with alcohol or drugs. That is a wide range of need, and it means we cannot offer a standard package. We start by listening to the person and anyone they want involved, work out what their day and week actually need to look like, and write the plan around that. It may be a brief daily call, support with personal care, medication, meals and mobility, help with household tasks, or support to get out, hold down work or keep an appointment that matters. Plans are reviewed when circumstances change, and we ask clients and families to tell us plainly when something is not right. We keep the same small team visiting each person wherever we can, and our carers are trained for the particular needs of the people they see. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are pleased to hold it, and the better measure for us is whether our clients around High Wycombe feel safe, respected and in control at home.
