About Amenable Care
Amenable Care supports people in and around Aylesbury in their own homes. Our purpose is straightforward, which is to make it possible for somebody to stay where they want to be for as long as that is sensible and safe. Most of our work is with older people who need help with the ordinary things that have become harder, washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals, shopping and getting out of the house. We also support people living with a physical disability, where good support is largely about making daily life workable again rather than quietly taking tasks away from a person, and younger adults, whose circumstances and priorities are often very different from what people expect of home care. We try to send the same carers to the same people week after week. It sounds like a small point of scheduling, but it is the difference between being looked after by somebody who knows you and being visited by a stranger with a list. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly. Until we do, judge us on whether we arrive when we said and whether we stay the full time.
