About Freshair Care
We provide care at home in Bristol, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Our work is simple to describe and particular in the doing. We send trained carers to people who need a hand to manage at home, and we arrange that help around the life somebody already has rather than around our own convenience. For some people a single visit each morning for washing, dressing and medication is enough. Others need calls through the day and into the evening, help with meals and shopping, and support to move about the house safely. Where somebody's mental health is unsettled, what helps most is often a worker who is steady, turns up when they said they would and knows the person well enough to notice when things are slipping. That is why we put effort into sending the same carers to the same households rather than filling a rota with whoever is free. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are happy to discuss that openly with anyone considering us. If you are looking into care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch and we will be honest about what we can take on.
