About Caring Hands
Caring Hands provides support in people's own homes across Bristol. Our aim is to give people enough help to keep living where they want to live, delivered by carers they know and at the times they have agreed. We visit older people needing assistance with washing, dressing, meals and medication. We support people living with dementia, where familiar faces and a settled routine matter more than almost anything else we could offer. We also work with people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, including safe help with moving and transfers, people whose sight or hearing is impaired and younger adults needing support to live independently. Where sight or hearing is impaired we keep belongings where they are expected, say who we are before we start and check we have been understood rather than assuming. Care begins with a home visit and a proper conversation about what would genuinely help. We build the plan around the routine that already exists rather than replacing it, and we review it as things change. If you are considering support at home in Bristol, please get in touch and we will come out and talk it through.
