About BSI Healthcare
We are BSI Healthcare Bristol, a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across the city. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people affected by eating disorders or by alcohol and drug misuse. That breadth means there is no standard package to offer. We begin by finding out what an ordinary day looks like for the person, where it has become difficult and what they want to go on doing themselves, and the support is built from those answers and reviewed as things change. Some of the people we support need patience over a long stretch rather than intensity over a short one. Where progress is not a straight line, the most useful thing a carer can be is steady and unshockable, arriving as agreed and not treating a difficult week as a reason to withdraw. We work alongside GPs, community teams, clinical staff and social workers, and we keep the same carers with the same people wherever the rota allows. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.
