Afeni Healthcare provides care in people's own homes across Bristol. We support older people and younger adults with a broad range of needs, including dementia, learning disability and autism, mental health conditions, physical disability, visual or hearing impairment, eating disorders, and the effects of alcohol or drug misuse. Because the people we work with are so different from one another, we do not offer a menu of packages. We meet the person, and anyone they want with them, and work out what would genuinely make daily life easier. That might be personal care, help with medication and meals, or it might be broader support covering household tasks, shopping, appointments, getting out, or holding a routine together that has become hard to manage alone. We are careful about who we send. Language, cultural background, gender and personality all matter in someone's own home, and we take account of them when we build a rota. We aim for small, consistent teams so that our visits become a familiar part of the week rather than a series of strangers at the door.
