About Cheltenham Road
We are a residential care home in Evesham, Worcestershire, supporting adults who need help with daily living in a place that feels like a house rather than an institution. The people who live here include adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment. Everyone here has their own routine, and our job is to fit around it. That might mean support to get to college or a day service, help with cooking a meal somebody has chosen, going along to an appointment, or simply being nearby while a person does something for themselves that takes a little longer than it used to. We would far rather someone did a task slowly with a bit of encouragement than have us do it for them. Moving into a care home can feel like a loss of control, so we try to make it the opposite. People choose how their room looks, what they do with their day and who they see. Families and advocates are involved as much as the person wants them to be. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a break or give someone the chance to try living here before making a longer decision. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you would like to visit and see how it works in practice, please get in touch.
