About 43 Station Road

We are a residential care home on Station Road in Staines, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Most of those living here are younger adults, and respite stays are part of what we do. Our size means attention is not rationed. Everybody is known properly, and the house is organised around the people in it rather than the other way about. People choose their own rooms, share properly in the shopping and the meals, and have a hand in how the place runs. Where somebody can do a thing themselves, our job is to make it possible rather than to do it faster on their behalf. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are not going to leave that out and hope it passes unnoticed. We accept the findings, we are working through them, and we will not claim in a paragraph that everything is resolved. If you are considering this home for somebody, please visit unannounced, spend time with the people who live here, talk to relatives, and press us on what has changed and what is still outstanding.
