About Romney House
Here at Romney House, we are proud to be a care home at the heart of the Trowbridge community in Wiltshire, offering a warm and genuinely homely environment where residents feel comfortable, valued and well looked after. We support older people across a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care, physical disability, and visual and hearing impairment. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers some time to rest. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we do our best to make sure they feel at ease from day one. Dementia care is something we take particularly seriously. We understand how unsettling and frightening this condition can be, both for the person living with it and for their loved ones. Our approach is calm, consistent and person centred, built around getting to know each resident as an individual, understanding their history, their preferences and what matters most to them day to day. For residents living with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, we work closely with each person to ensure their environment and their daily routines are arranged in a way that promotes as much independence as possible. We were rated Good by the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the effort our whole team puts in every day. We are always looking at how we can improve and we welcome honest feedback from residents and families alike.
