About Grange View
Here at Grange View, we provide residential care for people who need a little extra support in their day to day lives. We are based in the lovely coastal town of Grange over Sands in Westmorland and Furness, and the setting and surroundings genuinely shape the way we work. It is a calm, unhurried part of the world, and we try to bring that same feeling into everything we do here. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, as well as younger adults who may not fit neatly into more traditional care settings. We know that for many of the people we support, this is not a short stay in a clinical environment but a real home, and we take that seriously. We also offer respite care for those who need a temporary place to stay, whether that is to give family carers a proper break or to help someone through a period of change. We do not believe that one approach works for everyone. Getting to know each person properly, understanding what matters to them, what they enjoy, what makes them feel settled and what they find difficult, is the starting point for everything we do. Support is built around the individual rather than the other way around. Our team work hard to create an atmosphere that feels genuine and relaxed rather than institutional. Residents and the people who care about them should feel comfortable raising anything with us, and we aim to be straightforward and honest in return. Grange View has not yet received a formal overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We welcome the inspection process and remain committed to openness and continuous improvement as we grow as a service. If you would like to find out more or come and have a look around, please do get in touch. We are always happy to talk.
