About Victoria Royal Beach
Victoria Royal Beach is a residential care home in Worthing, West Sussex. We provide a home for older people and we also offer respite stays, whether that is to give a family carer a break or to help somebody find their feet again after a spell in hospital. We would rather be judged on ordinary things than on anything grand. Knowing how everybody likes their tea. Remembering which chair belongs to whom. Understanding who wants company from breakfast onwards and who would much rather be left with a newspaper. Helping somebody up when they wake rather than when it suits a rota. We ask about these preferences, write them down and expect them to be followed, because that is most of what makes a place feel like home instead of an institution. Residents keep their own furniture and photographs and decide how their days run. Some want conversation and activity from early on. Others want privacy and a quiet afternoon, and neither needs justifying to us. Worthing is close by and we help people get out when they are able, whether that is the seafront, the shops or simply the garden. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. It reflects reliable everyday practice, which is what most families are actually looking for. If you are considering a care home in Worthing for someone close to you, please come and look round, meet our residents and staff and ask us anything you like.
