About Park Lodge Care Solutions
Park Lodge is a residential care home in Crawley supporting adults with a learning disability or autism, and we offer respite stays. We keep the house small and settled on purpose. The people who live here know each other and know the staff, and support can be shaped around individuals rather than around a timetable that has to cover a large building. Everyone has their own room and their own belongings, and a real say in how the household runs, from what is cooked to how the week is planned. Our staff support people to do things rather than doing things for them. Cooking, shopping, managing money, using transport and getting out locally are done together, because independence is built through practice rather than handed over. Communication is the foundation of all of it. Some of the people here use speech, others use signs, symbols or objects, and others show us what they need through behaviour that takes patience to read properly. We learn each person's way and keep learning as it changes. Routines are steady here and changes are planned and talked through well in advance. We also think carefully about sensory things such as noise, light and how busy a space feels. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you would like to visit, please get in touch and we will arrange it.
