About Edward House
Here at Edward House, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Our home is a warm and familiar place where residents are supported to live comfortably, with their independence and dignity always at the centre of everything we do. We specialise in older person care, residential care, dementia care, and respite care. Whether someone moves in with us on a longer term basis or joins us for a short stay to recover or give family members a break, we work hard to make sure the transition feels as smooth and reassuring as possible. We take time to get to know each person properly, understanding their routines, preferences, and life history, so that the care we provide genuinely fits around them rather than the other way around. For those living with dementia, we know how much the environment and the people around you matter. We approach dementia care thoughtfully, focusing on familiarity, calm and meaningful connection. Our aim is always to support people to feel safe and understood. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good. That rating reflects the effort our whole team puts in every day, and it gives families confidence that their loved ones are in a place that takes its responsibilities seriously. Families are an important part of life here at Edward House and we genuinely welcome their involvement. Moving into a care home is a significant step for anyone, and we want both residents and their families to feel informed, included, and at ease from the very first conversation. If you would like to find out more about what we offer or come and have a look around, we would be very happy to hear from you.
