About Clements House
Clements House is a residential care home in Bognor Regis. We support older people, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, and we also offer respite stays for short planned periods. The people who live here have arrived by very different routes, and that shapes how we work. Some need steady, quiet support to stay well. Some need practical help with mobility, personal care and medication. Some are working through difficulties with food, or with alcohol or drugs, and in those situations we follow the plan agreed with the person's own clinical and recovery teams, without judgement and without pretending that progress runs in a straight line. What everybody gets is a room of their own, meals cooked here, and staff who treat them as an adult. Mental health support here is mostly about consistency. Familiar staff, a routine that holds, early recognition when somebody is becoming unwell and good working relationships with community mental health teams and general practitioners achieve far more than anything else. For residents with sensory loss, our staff announce themselves, explain what they are doing and leave belongings exactly where they were left. We are on the coast and people make use of it, for walks, for fresh air and for keeping local connections going. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visits and questions from families and professionals are always welcome.
