About Arun Lodge Residential Care Home
Arun Lodge Residential Care Home is in Bognor Regis, and we provide residential care for older people together with respite stays for those who need a short break. We do one thing and we try to do it well. There is no nursing unit here and no specialist wing. What we offer is a comfortable home by the coast where older people are looked after properly, treated as adults and left in charge of their own days as far as they are able. That starts with asking. When someone moves in we want to know their history, their preferences, their worries and their routines, and we write it down so that every member of staff knows it. It continues with small things done reliably, meals people like, help offered discreetly, laundry back where it belongs, a hairdresser when it is wanted, the garden used whenever the weather is kind. Families are part of it. Visitors come and go through the day, can stay for a meal, and are kept properly informed rather than telephoned only when something has gone wrong. Bognor Regis and the West Sussex coast are home for most of our residents, and we support people to keep up with the friends, clubs and churches they have always had. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see the home, ideally without arranging it first.
