About OSJCT St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home
St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home is a residential care home in Arundel, West Sussex. We support older people who need help with daily life and younger adults who need residential care, and we offer respite stays, whether for recovery after illness or to give a family carer a proper break. Moving into a home usually follows a difficult period, so we take the settling in slowly. We ask about the routines somebody has kept for years, the food they actually like, how they take their tea and whether they would rather be up early or have a lie in, and we fit around that instead of expecting people to adapt to us. Rooms belong to the people in them, furnished with their own things, and we knock before entering. The days here are unhurried. Some residents want company, conversation and a walk out in the town. Others want the newspaper, the radio and their own company. Both are perfectly reasonable. Our team stays settled, which means residents are cared for by people who know them and that changes in health or spirits are noticed early. We work with local GPs and community nurses so that problems are dealt with before they become urgent, and families are welcome at any reasonable hour. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. Please come and see us in Arundel.
