Here at Manor House in Rugby, Warwickshire, we provide residential care for older people in a homely and supportive environment. Our team works hard every day to make sure that each person living with us feels genuinely valued, comfortable and well looked after. We support a wide range of needs, including dementia care, care for those living with a physical disability, and care for people with visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers a much needed break. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we aim to get to know them as an individual and build their care around who they are, not just what they need. We understand that moving into a care home is a significant step, both for the person moving in and for their loved ones. We try to make that transition as straightforward and reassuring as possible, taking time to listen, answer questions honestly and keep families involved every step of the way. We are aware that our most recent Care Quality Commission rating reflects areas where we need to do better, and we want to be open about that. We have taken that feedback seriously and have been working to make real, lasting improvements across the home. We believe in being honest with the people we care for and their families, and that honesty extends to acknowledging where we have more work to do.
