About Valley Road
Valley Road is a residential care home in Leamington Spa supporting adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with a physical disability, and people who have sight or hearing loss, along with older people who need support close at hand. Because the home is not large, the way we work is genuinely individual. One person may want a busy week of college, work and clubs, while another needs the days to stay quiet and predictable, and we plan for both. For autistic residents we are careful about routine, about explaining changes well in advance, and about keeping somewhere quiet available when the house feels busy. Where somebody has a physical or sensory impairment, our aim is to take the obstacle out of the way rather than to limit what they do, so equipment, lighting, layout and unhurried communication all matter. Independence runs through everything. People are supported to cook, shop, manage money as far as they are able and keep their rooms exactly as they want them. Respite stays are available for people needing support for a short period. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. Please get in touch if you would like to visit or talk things through.
