About Hayling Road
Hayling Road is a care home in Sale providing residential care for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults and for people with physical disabilities. We offer respite stays too. The house is small and domestic, and that is deliberate. A few people sharing a home can know one another properly, recognise every member of staff and have a genuine say in how things are done, from the shopping list to what happens at the weekend. In larger settings, choice tends to become theoretical however good the intentions. Support is built around individuals rather than the house. Some people here need close help with personal care and daily routines; others mainly want somebody dependable in the background while they get on with their own interests. Where there is a physical disability, dependability means equipment used correctly by everyone and transfers done the same careful way each time, so that support feels certain rather than variable. Life beyond the front door counts as much as life inside it, and Trafford has plenty to be involved in. Keeping work, courses, friendships and family ties going is part of the support we provide. Respite stays are prepared with visits beforehand rather than arranged at short notice. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Please come and see the house on a normal day and ask us whatever you like.
