About Heights
Surrey Heights is a residential care home in Godalming, providing a permanent home for adults who need care and support with everyday life. Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. Many of our residents live with dementia, and we rely on familiar staff, a routine that stays where it is and reassurance given as often as it is needed. We care for residents with physical disabilities and those with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate and how we help people move about so that dignity and independence are protected. We support younger adults too, planning their interests and routines on their own terms. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather set that out here ourselves than have a family find it later and wonder why we kept quiet. The areas identified are where our effort is going at present, and we are not asking anybody to take our word for it. Please visit, speak to residents and their relatives, and judge us on what you find.
