About The Regard Partnership - Clareville Road
We are a residential home on Clareville Road in Caterham, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic people. The house is run as a household rather than a service. Everyone has their own room and their own things, and the week is worked out between the people who live here and the staff supporting them: what is cooked, when the shopping is done, who wants to go out and where to. For adults who have often had very little say in daily life, that ordinary degree of control is the heart of what we are trying to do. Support is built around what each person wants to be able to do. For some that means a job, a college course or a regular volunteering day. For others it is getting out regularly, keeping up with family, managing money with a hand from staff, or learning to cook something new. We take the long view, since progress in this work is usually gradual and the gains that matter are often ones nobody outside the house would notice. Consistency counts for a great deal, particularly for autistic people, so we keep staffing as settled as we can and explain changes in advance rather than springing them on people. Respite stays are available alongside longer places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking for a place, please come and visit and meet the people who live here.
