Here at Ashbourne Court Care Home in Aldershot, Surrey, we provide residential and dementia care for older people, as well as support for those living with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments. We have been working through the areas identified and continue to make changes that we believe will make a real and lasting difference to the standard of care we provide. Inspectors found some staff did not always follow the provider's medicines policy and procedures. Learning from accidents and incidents was inconsistent, and some accident records were incomplete and had no analysis of what happened or how to stop it happening again. Staff were recruited safely, and there were enough staff on duty to meet people's needs.

Inspectors found the provider had monitoring systems in place and took prompt action when concerns were identified. However, these systems had not identified the concerns inspectors found. After inspectors gave feedback, the registered manager provided evidence that appropriate action had been taken to make improvements.

People told inspectors that staff responded to calls and met their needs. Relatives thought people were well cared for and said they trusted the staff and management team.
