About Aarandale Lodge
Aarandale Lodge is a residential care home in Westcliff on Sea, caring for older people who can no longer manage comfortably on their own. We aim for the feel of a house rather than an institution, with people keeping their own habits, their own belongings and a real say in how their day is spent. We support people living with dementia, and that work depends on continuity above all. Knowing what somebody's day used to look like, keeping as much of it as we can and understanding what sits behind distress rather than simply managing it is what makes the difference between a settled day and a difficult one. Respite stays are available too, whether somebody needs care for a short period after illness or a family carer needs a genuine break. We plan short stays with the same attention as a permanent move. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The better test is whether people who live here seem settled and whether relatives feel able to raise something with us early rather than saving it up. Please come and see us.
