About Little Oaks Residential Care Home
Little Oaks is a residential care home in Taunton, Somerset. We are a home first and a service second, and the people who live here are residents in their own house rather than occupants of a building. We provide residential care for older adults, supporting people with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, while leaving as much as possible in their own hands. We also support adults with a learning disability or autism. That work asks for something slightly different from us: a routine that can be relied upon, communication pitched to the individual, and the patience to let somebody do a thing their own way and in their own time even when it would be quicker to step in. We find that a mixed household, well managed, can be a warm one, and we pay close attention to how people get along with each other. Respite stays are available too. They give family carers a real break, and they allow someone to see how the home feels before making any permanent decision. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather you came and saw the place than took our word for it, so please visit, have a cup of tea with us and ask whatever you need to ask.
