About Dimensions Ashbury
At Dimensions Somerset Ashbury, we are a care home based in Taunton, Somerset, and we take genuine pride in the support we offer to the people who live with us. Our team works hard every day to make sure that each person feels at home, feels heard, and feels valued for who they are. We support a range of people here, including older adults, younger adults, and individuals with a learning disability or autism. We also offer residential care and respite care for those who need shorter term support. Whatever brings someone to us, we aim to understand their life, their preferences, and what matters most to them, so that we can shape our support around the individual rather than asking them to fit around us. Respite care is something we think about carefully. We know that coming into a care home, even briefly, can feel daunting, so we put real effort into making sure people feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they arrive. For family members and carers who need a break, we hope knowing their loved one is with us brings genuine reassurance. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is good, and while we are pleased with that recognition, we see it as encouragement to keep listening and keep improving rather than a reason to stand still. Taunton is a place we are proud to be part of. Many of the people we support have strong ties to this part of Somerset, and being rooted in the local community matters to us. Whether someone moves in permanently or stays for a short while, we want their time with us to feel settled, respectful, and as ordinary as possible in the best sense of that word. We would always welcome a conversation if you would like to find out more about whether we might be the right fit for you or someone you care about.
