About Briery Lodge
At Briery Lodge, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. We support people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and younger adults who need a comfortable, caring place to call home, whether that is on a long term or respite basis. Everyone we support has their own story, their own routines and their own way of experiencing the world. We take time to get to know each person properly so that the care and support we offer actually fits their life, rather than asking them to fit around a rigid way of doing things. That means working closely with families, advocates and other professionals to make sure nothing important gets missed. Our team works hard to create an environment that feels homely and relaxed. We want people to feel safe here, but we also want them to feel free to be themselves, to have choice in their daily lives and to stay connected to the things and people that matter to them. We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection. We see that as an honest reflection of the work our team puts in every day, though we are always looking at where we can do better.
