About St Vincent’s Care Home
St Vincent's Care Home is a residential care home in Southport, Sefton, offering a comfortable and settled home to older people who need support with daily living. We also provide respite stays for people who need care for a shorter period, whether to give a family carer a proper break or to help someone regain confidence after illness. We think a care home should feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere people are kept. Residents decide when they get up, where they spend their day, what they eat and how sociable they want to be. Breakfast happens when somebody wakes rather than when a rota says so. There is company to be found if it is wanted and peace to be had if it is not. Meals are cooked on the premises and preferences are remembered, because food is one of the real pleasures of the day and not simply a task to be got through. There is activity for those who enjoy it and no obligation on anyone else. Our staff know residents well, which is what allows them to notice when something is not quite right. We work closely with local GPs and community nurses, and we keep families properly informed. Relatives are welcome whenever it suits them. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please come and look round.
